An emerging network of investors, donors and farmers committed to building local food systems will be described by Woody Tasch. Tasch is the founder of Slow Money and he was previously chair of Investors’ Circle and treasurer of the Jesse Smith Noyes Foundation. The session will conclude with examples of Slow Money investments and enterprises in the New York area, presented by local organizers and entrepreneurs. Joan Gussow, a the pioneer in the local food movement and a founding member of Slow Money, will introduce Tasch.
