Jamie Ross Art Workshop

Noted New York artisan, Jamie Ross, will lead a workshop where she will teach participants the craft of creating sculptural wire bookmarks. The workshop will take place on Sunday, October 10, at 1:00pm, at the Ossining Public Library, located at 53 Croton Avenue, in Ossining, NY. The workshop is open to all and is free. This artistic and fun medium uses various types of wire and results with participants having created decorative yet functional bookmarks. The medium is Ms. Ross' own creation. Each participant in the workshop will have the opportunity to complete several finished bookmarks. Materials for the workshop will be provided.

Jamie Ross is an artist and illustrator, whose work has been published in many national magazines, including Reader's Digest and Playboy. She has appeared on the NBC News program "Wednesday's Child" with Janice Huff, where she conducted a print making art workshop with several children who were featured for adoption. Ms. Ross was recently invited to give a lecture and present her illustrations at the National Art League. She has designed and taught art workshops for children, teens and adults throughout the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County and New Jersey. She was awarded the "Lifetime Arts" grant in 2009 and again in 2010 to present a series of painting programs for senior adults. Ms. Ross lives in New York City where she maintains her art studio.
