North African Societies

This talk introduces the peoples and cultures of North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and Libya,) by examining the changing dynamics of family as well as the politics of gender, religious, linguistic and national identity. Presenter, Habiba Boumlik, Ph.D. teaches anthropology and French at Purchase College, SUNY.
