Preparing Professional Nurses for Cancer Survivorship Care

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Survivorship Initiative and The City of Hope Department of Nursing Research & Education are hosting an NCI-funded program in cancer survivorship to educate competitively chosen professional nurses from cancer settings across the nation. Using a goal-directed method of teaching, each participant develops three goals related to implementing survivorship activities. These goals will be reviewed at 6, 12, and 18 months post course. Free registration and course materials will be provided as well as follow-up and support of participants. All professional registered nurses who provide care to cancer survivors are welcome to register.

For more information and applications please contact Liz Gourdine at (626) 256-4673 ext. 63488 or mgourdine@coh.org. Applications due July 27, 2012.
