Former Diner Torn Down In Tarrytown

It will be replaced by an automotive service center.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A Tarrytown diner was demolished Thursday to make way for an automobile service center. The former El Dorado West diner at 460 South Broadway was turned into the rubble in order to build a more than 23,000-square-foot building which will be a companion structure to Tarrytown Honda, which is across the street.

Dachnowicz Automotive Inc. received the necessary permit to tear down the former diner, lohud.com said. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]

The new building will be one story, with a partial second story.
