FREE REFLECTORS CAN BE PICKED UP AT TOWN HALL AND THEODORE YOUNG COMMUNITY CENTER--WEAR REFLECTORS, BRIGHT CLOTHING WHEN WALKING AT NIGHT
It's getting dark very early in the evening. It's difficult for motorists to see pedestrians walking -especially when they are wearing dark clothing. And - every year pedestrians in the region get hit by cars that don't see them. Greenburgh has experienced pedestrian injuries and fatalities over the years.
The Greenburgh police and town government have been waging an effort in recent years to encourage pedestrians to wear reflectors and bright clothing when walking in the evening. We're also giving out FREE REFLECTIVE SLAP BRACELETS. Residents who want a free reflective slap bracelet should stop off at the lobby of the Greenburgh Town Hall (177 Manhattan Ave, White Plains) or the Theodore Young Community Center (Manhattan Ave, White Plains).
