Fugitive Accused Of Killing, Burning Dog
The man who was indicted by the grand jury is wanted on charges in North Carolina and Utah.
GREENBURGH, NY — One of the men arrested in July after the remains of a dog was found burned in a Greenburgh backyard was arraigned Monday. Ian De Los Reyes, 33, with no known address, was charged by a grand jury with aggravated cruelty to animals and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies.
De Los Reyes is a fugitive from North Carolina and Utah where charges are pending, authorities said.
He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail.

On Saturday, July 13, Greenburgh police arrested De Los Reyes and Danilo Tolentino after officers found the charred remains of a dog in Tolentino's backyard. There was also evidence of the dog's killing inside the home, police said.
Tolentino reported the death of the dog to police Saturday morning.

Police said De Los Reyes stabbed and killed the black Labrador retriever and then proceeded to burn the dog's body in a fire pit sometime during the night of Friday, July 12.
The dog belonged to Tolentino's daughter who did not live at his house, according to authorities.
