Fuller Center rebuilds home of hurricane victim

...they also donated 50 sand bags to those who previously experienced flooding

Hurricane Ida was a severe hurricane in late August and early September, 2021. The hurricane left some families like Pascal Amoah and Kimona Hanson of Greenburgh homeless-destroying their home off of Warren Ave in the Fairview section of town. It's been over a year and four months since this family lost their home and they have been homeless ever since.

There is an organization in New Rochelle headed by Jim Killoran. I have known Jim for years (we participated in charity bicycle rides from Westchester to DC in the past). The Fuller Center did what they have done for so many other families --they have contributed time assisting in rebuilding the house that was badly damaged during the hurricane. In addition, The Fuller Center asked me if anyone needed sand bags before this past week's storm. They donated about 50 bags to those who always suffer property damages from flooding--they actually made house calls--personally delivering the sandbags.

I'm so grateful to Jim and his team of volunteers. Be inspired by clicking onto the News12 link below. Highlights what a great community asset the Fuller Center is:

Jim and The Fuller Center are willing to help other families in need. I have invited Jim to speak about his organization at an upcoming Town Board meeting. The Fuller Center and it's team of volunteers deserve our thanks!
