Greenburgh Police Investigating Armed Robbery Tuesday

Police said a man entered the gas station carrying a handgun and demanded money.

GREENBURGH, NY — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday in the Town of Greenburgh. Police said they responded to the BP gas station located at 610 Central Park Avenue in the Edgemont section of the town after receiving a 911 call from the attendant who reported the robbery.

A man wearing a mask and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt entered the station with a handgun and demanded and received cash before fleeing on foot, police said.

He reportedly went north on Central Avenue.

Authorities said the gas station's attendant was not injured during the robbery.

Greenburgh detectives responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
