Greenburgh Police Make Arrests At Massage Spa Tuesday

Three were accused of practicing massage without a license, with one accused of prostitution.

GREENBURGH, NY — Police made an arrest Tuesday for prostitution at a Hartsdale massage facility.

Members of the Greenburgh Street Crime Unit arrested three individuals, working at Spa 114, 114 South Central Park Ave. in Hartsdale, for practicing massage without a license, and one of them was also charged with prostitution.

Police said Yanyi Dong, 35, of Ridgefield, NJ; Gye Shun Han, 50, of Flushing, and Bongok Gu, 48, of Flushing, were accused of violating state Education Law 6512 (sub 1) for allegedly passing themselves off as licensed massage therapists without having state licenses. The charge is unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony.

Yanyi Dong was additionally charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor.

Police said she allegedly offered to engage in sexual conduct with an undercover police officer.

The three suspects were taken to Greenburgh Police Headquarters where they were booked, processed and released on their own recognizance.

Spa 114 was closed by the officers for the evening, with the Greenburgh Building Department scheduled to follow up Wednesday.

Four other Scarsdale spas on South Central Avenue were shuttered in March after police arrested alleged unlicensed masseuses, one of whom was also charged with prostitution, according to examinernews.com.
