Greenburgh Sanitation Calendar Mailed to Residents Contains Wrong MLK Jr. Day Info

A corrected calendar is on the town's website.

GREENBURGH, NY — The sanitation calendar mailed to Greenburgh residents had a mistake in it regarding the Martin Luther King Jr. Day federal holiday.

An email from Victor Carosi, commissioner of public works, called attention to the error, saying that it is observed Monday, Jan. 16, and the town offices will be closed.

Because of the holiday, Monday garbage will be collected on Tuesday and Tuesday garbage will be collected Wednesday.

Thursday, Jan. 19 with be paper recycling, and Friday will be co-mingled collection.

The schedule will be back to normal the week of Jan. 23 and co-mingled recyclables will be collected Wednesday, Jan. 25.
