Gus Renzin discusses need to compost food waste

Hudson Compost Services offers pick up of food scraps

Gus Renzin, who is starting his senior year at Hastings High School is involved with the Hudson Compost Services- a group of Hastings High school students and graduates looking to make an impact in their local community. The students noticed that residents were less likely to compost if they personally take their food waste to drop off sites. They decided to start a pickup program allowing residents to participate in curbside composting designed be just like trash and recycling services.
