History--the Greenburgh streets Washington/Rochambeau used

Greenburgh streets played an important role in the Revolutionary War.

Slice of History: Hillcrest, Ridge Road, Heatherdell Road, Underhill Road- some of the roads that Washington & Rochambeau travelled during the Revolutionary War. Assistant Town Historians Felicia Barber of Ardsley and Riley Wentzler wrote a fascinating piece about the uniqueness of Hartsdale, Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry during George Washington and Rochambeau's journey through Greenburgh between 1775 and 1781. Hillcrest Road Ridge Road, Hartsdale to Heatherdell Road Ardsley, the Sunningdale Golf Course on Underhill Road were just some roads that they travelled.
