Kayak Slip Rentals Available For Sleepy Hollow Residents

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — The Village of Sleepy Hollow has 27 boat slips available at the new kayak rack at Horan’s Landing. Boat slips for the remainder of the 2019 season will be $150 per slip and will be available to Sleepy Hollow residents only at this time, according to village officials. The racks are for kayaks or canoes only, and there can be only one vessel per slip.

Residents interested in obtaining a slip for the remainder of the season may register beginning on Monday, July 29th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the recreation offices at 55 Elm Street. Registration will continue until all slips are sold. Slips are available on a first come-first serve basis.

Each resident will be given a small decal with a registration number for your vessel at the time of registration. The decal must be visible while on the rack. All residents interested will be asked to complete an application form and an information sheet providing details and a description of your vessel.

A photo of your vessel will also be required. All vessels are required to be locked. Slip holders must purchase locks separately. A complete set of rules and regulations will be provided to all registrants.

To pay for the rental, $150.00 checks or money orders should be made out to “Village of Sleepy Hollow” or people can pay in cash. Residents can also pay for the kayak racks on the recreation department’s new on-line registration program. If Sleepy Hollow residents haven’t done so already, you should create your own Community Pass account so you can register on-line. This is done by going to the general registration page and then type in the name of our organization which is Village of Sleepy Hollow, NY. Once your account is created, you will receive an e-mail that contains your log in information. The kayak racks are listed under “Kayak Rack Rentals.” Registrants will still have to complete the registration form even if you choose the on-line payment method.
