Kingsland Point Park Closed In Aftermath Of Tropical Storm
About 1,400 customers in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown remain without power the day after Isaias tore through.
SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — Officials reported Wednesday morning that crews from the Department of Public Works were cleaning up trees and branches all across Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.
Con Edison has a dedicated crew working on restoring power throughout the community. As of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Con Ed reported 701 customers without power in Sleepy Hollow and 740 in Tarrytown, out of 191,524 total customers out of service.
In all, almost half-a-million customers lost power in the lower and mid Hudson Valley.

At the peak, there were over 1,500 customers/households just in Tarrytown who lost power. Neperan Road was closed with wires damaged or brought down in several places. South Broadway was blocked.
Due to hazardous conditions, Kingsland Point Park (including the dog park) and DeVries Park will remain closed to the public until further notice, Sleepy Hollow officials said.

The Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and Philipse Manor train stations are open. Metro-North is running the Hudson Line on a weekend schedule but there is no service north of North White Plains on the Harlem Line.
