LI Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving After Accident

State police said she struck the back of a state Thruway Authority construction vehicle.

GREENBURGH, NY — A Long Island woman was accused of driving drunk in the Town of Greenburgh. State police said Erika L. Doolittle, 56, of Rockville Centre, Nassau County, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Police said they responded around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 6 to a motor vehicle accident on I-287 eastbound in the Town of Greenburgh.

The investigation found that Doolittle struck the back of a state Thruway Authority construction truck and that she was intoxicated, police said.

Doolittle was taken to the Tarrytown barracks for processing, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.24 percent, officials said.

She was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appreciate ticket to return to the Town of Greenburgh Count Feb. 22.
