New eyeglass business donates special eyeglasses for disabled veterans

Westchester Eyes having open house at 65 Tarrytown Road (Greenburgh) Sat

Greenburgh is fortunate to have many exciting businesses in our community. An interesting new business has just opened up and they are giving back to the community and to veterans. Westchester Eyes is having an open house at 65 Tarrytown Road, White Plains on Saturday, June 22 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Westchester Eyes has opened a custom eyewear manufacturing facility and is doing some amazing work helping disabled veterans with head and face injuries.

With dual but parallel missions, Morez Eyewear pioneered the creation of custom 3D-printed eyewear for U.S. veterans with head and face injuries, ensuring a comfortable aesthetic fit through personalized designs. Approximately 7000 US Veterans would benefit from this service, and Dr. Rubinfeld, Westchester Eyes and Morez Eyewear has and will continue to donate these eyeglasses to these Veterans at no cost to them nor the government.

In 2011, Dr. Rubinfeld, armed with an MBA from The University of Hong Kong Business School, returned to the United States with a transformative mission—to revive American-made manufacturing and weave it into the fabric of local communities. Inspired by his grandfather, father (WWII veteran), and uncle (U.S. Army Veteran), Dr. Rubinfeld had a dream of helping Veterans in need. Tunnel to Towers is one of many charities he donates to monthly to help U.S. Veterans and Gold Star families.

Simultaneously, Morez Eyewear will offer tailored handmade acetate eyewear, empowering clients to actively participate in the design process and choose sizing, shapes, and colors from their extensive database of designs.

Morez Eyewear production technology is at the forefront of innovation, featuring CNCs from Italy, the Genera G1/F1 3D Printer System from Austria, and other cutting-edge equipment from across Europe. The acetate used is sourced from esteemed suppliers in Italy (Mazzucchelli) and France (Décoracet), complemented by its in-house designs. The hardware, including hinges, screws, and temple cores, hails from Germany (OBE).
