New Pier To Enhance Hudson River Access at Daymark and Edge-on-Hudson
New Addition to the Sleepy Hollow RiverWalk will offer Expanded Opportunities to Connect with the Hudson River's Natural Beauty
A new chapter in waterfront living is unfolding at The Daymark, a premier collection of 100 new-construction condominium homes on the serene banks of the Hudson River in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Located within the award-winning Edge-on-Hudson mixed-use community, The Daymark continues to experience strong sales, due in large part to its direct access to the Hudson River. This connection was made possible by Edge-on-Hudson's master developers, Biddle Real Estate Ventures (BREV) and PCD Development, who opened a 70-acre stretch of waterfront to the public for the first time in over a century as part of the overall development.
Now, that access is expanding further with the construction of a new public fishing pier and boat dock, set to enhance the waterfront experience for both residents and the surrounding community.
The reopening of the riverfront marked a significant milestone for the Village of Sleepy Hollow and Westchester County. In October 2022, the first phase of the Sleepy Hollow RiverWalk at Edge-on-Hudson was completed and dedicated to the village as a public amenity. Designed by internationally renowned Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, the RiverWalk includes two sections: The Promenade, featuring a strolling path network with plazas and lawns along the riverfront, and The Overlook, which offers amphitheater-style seating with expansive views of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge and Manhattan skyline to the south, and Hook Mountain and the Palisades to the north.

Building on this renewed waterfront access, the next phase includes the construction of a fixed 8’x 80’ public fishing pier and a separate 8’x 80’ boat dock with a 10’x16’ landing float, slated for completion in spring 2025. This addition will further enhance the waterfront experience for both The Daymark residents and the surrounding community, continuing the Edge-on-Hudson developers’ commitment to creating 16 acres of parkland and open space.
The RiverWalk is funded by Edge-on-Hudson, with additional support from a $500,000 grant from New York State's Empire State Development Market New York (ESD MNY) program.

“Reclaiming this stretch of the Hudson River for public use has been central to the vision of Edge-on-Hudson,” said Jonathan Stein, Founder and Managing Director of PCD Development. “Our partnership with the Village of Sleepy Hollow and Westchester County has been instrumental in creating a waterfront destination that balances private enjoyment with meaningful public access. The addition of the new pier is a testament to that shared vision.”
