N.Y. GIRL WHO ELOPED SEEKS DIVORCE FROM HARVARD STUDENT
A secret marriage, the result of a romance in New York, has led to a divorce suit in the Chicago courts this week.
Frances Mary Cade Wellman, secretly married in April, 1912, to Wayne Page Wellman, pleaded before Judge Sullivan of the Circuit Court, for a divorce on the grounds of cruelty and "intolerable jealousy." Wellman was a student in Harvard when he persuaded Miss Cade to elope with him from her boarding school in Tarrytown. Since January, 1912, the couple have lived in Chicago.
