Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled Due to Tappan Zee Bridge Work

A new drainage system is being installed.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A new drainage system being installed under the westbound/northbound New York State Thruway this week will require overnight lane closures.

Up to three northbound lanes will have to be closed from exit 8A (Elmsford–NY Route 119–Saw Mill River Parkway North) to the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Thruway officials said the month-long work will involve pavement removal, soil and rock excavation, drainage pipe installation, backfilling and paving.
