• Man Caught Scamming Elderly Victim Out Of $29K After Computer Scam In Tarrytown: Police (dailyvoice.com) — Tarrytown police say an elderly resident was tricked into handing over about $29,000 in cash after a fake "Apple Payment Warning" text led scammers to remotely access the victim's computer. Detectives arrested a Queens man in the Walgreens lot on Wildey Street after a second cash drop, and believe he's part of a larger elder-fraud ring. Residents are urged to report similar scams to the Tarrytown Police Detective Division. 
• Yonder Mountain String Band Maps Out 2027 Winter Tour (liveforlivemusic.com) — Yonder Mountain String Band is bringing its progressive bluegrass tour to Tarrytown on October 9, 2026, as part of a busy fall and winter schedule. Local fans can plan ahead to catch the band close to home before it continues on to other East Coast and Midwest stops, with tickets available through the band's website and venue outlets.
