Phelps Memorial Hospital Center Welcomes Brian McGrinder as Director of Pharmacy

Brian McGrinder of Pleasantville has been appointed Director of the Pharmacy Department at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center.

McGrinder brings to Phelps vast experience in pharmacy operations and a strong background in computer-related medication management. He was the Assistant Director/Manager of the pharmacy at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx for the past 14 years and a staff pharmacist at Calvary for the previous four years. He has also been a per-diem pharmacist at Phelps.

McGrinder is responsible for maintaining the high quality, safe practices of the Phelps Pharmacy Department, which includes both the hospital pharmacy and a community pharmacy on the hospital campus. He will play a key role in implementing new processes that are patient-centered and promote both patient safety and hospital efficiency. McGrinder received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996 from the AMS College of Pharmacy at Long Island University.
