Phelps Treating 1 Patient With Coronavirus
Hospital officials said the person is in an area where there is little contact with others.
SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — A person infected with the new coronavirus is being treated in Sleepy Hollow at Phelps Hospital. Neither the patient's gender now when the person was admitted was released.
Hospital officials said Monday the patient is in an area of the hospital where it is private and they have little contact with other patients, News 12 reported.
There are now 142 cases of COVID-19, as the virus is officially known, in the state, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced at a Monday morning news conference.

There have been about 111,000 cases of the new coronavirus confirmed globally across 109 countries and regions, including more than 500 in the United States, according to Johns Hopkins University. The virus has killed nearly 3,900 people globally, including 22 in the United States. There have been no deaths from the new coronavirus in New York to date.
