A great event -17 participants, crawlers and walkers for children 2 and under

Greenburgh Parks & Recreation Department organized a great event that should become an annual tradition on Sunday September 3rd. We invited children 2 year's old and younger to participate. There were two categories for the 17 participants: crawlers and walkers. Everyone who participated or just joined or watched had a fun time. Noel Broccoli of the Parks department was the team leader in making the event happen.

One of the crawlers at the last minute started walking so had to compete in the walkers race instead of the crawling race. Some of the crawlers were initially not motivated to crawl to the finish line. But, some of the parents held objects in front of them (watches)--prompting the little crawlers to start racing. Today's Diaper Dash winners may one day become Olympic Gold Medalists! We hope they will remember that they got their start in Greenburgh.
