Update: Police Search for Suspects in Sleepy Hollow Break-in

A house at the end of Pleasant Street was targeted.

Police are searching for those responsible for a brazen daylight break-in on Pleasant Street in Sleepy Hollow. 

According to Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Greg Camp, two men were interrupted while breaking into a home at 12 Pleasant Street at about 10:30 a.m. this morning. 

A homeowner interrupted the burglars, causing both suspects to flee out of a window and into the surrounding area. It is not known if they escaped with any stolen property.

"The first officers on scene determined the suspects, two male Hispanics, had exited the residence and climbed over a fence, fleeing into dense underbrush of the Philipsburg Manor Restoration property," stated a release from the SHPD.

Sleepy Hollow Police, and K9 units from Westchester County Police and State Police searched the woods around the Philipsburg Manor restoration and the GM lot until about 1 p.m. The suspects were unable to be located during the track.

Police are asking residents to come forward if they have any information pertaining to the break-in. If you observed any suspicious persons or vehicles around Pleasant or Continental Streets this morning, or if you observed anyone emerging from wooded areas around the Restoration property, contact the Sleepy Hollow Detectives at 631-0800.
