Police: Two Different Names, Two Arrests
Tarrytown Police picked up a resident from Queens Court where he was arraigned under a different name for alleged theft.

Tarrytown Police drove to Queens to pick up a young man arrested there under an assumed name who had an active bench warrant here for a previous criminal impersonation arrest.
New York City PD informed Tarrytown Police on Jan. 30 at 1:26 a.m that they had somebody in custody with an active warrant out of Tarrytown.
Queens officers had picked up someone under the name Jose Espinosa, 24, on a small larceny charge after he was allegedly found in possession of stolen property.

After fingerprinting Espinosa, NYPD found Espinosa was wanted in Tarrytown for failure to appear in court under the name Juan C. Minchala-Mendez, 24.
Tarrytown detectives collected him at noon from Queens Criminal Court following his arraignment there and transported him to Tarrytown where he was held pending local arraignment.

At 12:56 p.m., Minchala-Mendez was arraigned with bail set at $5,000 cash and $10,000 bond and a return court date. Unable to make bail, he was taken to County Jail.
Herguth said Minchala-Mendez was originally arrested here on Jan. 19, 2012 for criminal impersonation in the second degree, a misdeameanor.
