Report: Tarrytown Man Who Was Facing Child Porn Charges Leaps to His Death

Suresh M. Manjanath, who was arrested as part of a sting operation, allegedly traveled to Channahon, Ill. in an attempt to have sex with minors.

Forty-five-year-old Tarrytown resident Suresh M. Manjanath - who was facing child pornography charges in Illinois - killed himself Sunday by leaping from a building in Jackson Heights, NY, according to a report in The Journal News.

Manjanath had allegedly traveled to Illinois to have sex with minors when he was arrested. He killed himself less than a day and a half after he was released on bond and returned to New York.

According to The Journal News, Manjanath was captured as part of an online sting operation. He was apprehended in Channahon, a small town southwest of Chicago.

Manjanath reportedly was facing four felony counts of dissemination of child pornography.
