Rini's Celebrates 18th Anniversary and Adds Pizza to Menu

“During our 18 years in business we have tweaked our menu many times to add variety and stay in touch with today’s favorites,” said Leo Cattarini, owner of Rini’s Restaurant & Wine Bar in Elmsford. “Pizza is such a popular item we felt it was time to add it to our menu.”

Rini’s personal pizzas are offered at lunch and dinnertime. The cooking time is under four minutes and the price varies depending on whether customers dine in the afternoon or evening.

Catterini added, “When I was young, I had relatives that owned or worked in pizza shops in Brooklyn and I wanted to recreate the crispy crust personal pies we enjoyed.”

“Our personal pizzas are medium size (11 inches in diameter) pies and can be shared as an appetizer for the table or ordered as individual entrees,” Cattarini said.

The personal pizzas served at lunchtime are:

• Margherita. Basil, fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce ($10.95)
• Pepperoni. Mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce ($11.95)
• Sausage and Peppers. Sweet sausage, onions, and mozzarella ($13.95)
• Bianchi E Formaggi. Ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, provolone, Gorgonzola and oregano ($12.95)
• Vegetarian. Mushroom, artichoke, ricotta, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce ($13.95)
• Buffalo chicken. Fried chicken cutlet, mozzarella, provolone and buffalo sauce ($13.95)

Coming entertainment

Members of the original cast of Robert DeNiro’s movie “A Bronx Tale” will sing on November 21, 2015 at 8 p.m. Their acapella group, called “Cool Change,” started out in their home town of Massapequa, NY and sung Doowop acapella during the late 1980’s. The members were Lou Etergineoso, Anthony Etergineoso, Joe Calvacca, Alan Lange and Joe Laham. In 1993, they were cast in “A Bronx Tale” and sung the title song “Streets of the Bronx.” In the late 1990’s, they produced their first CD “Cool Change Acapella”. After taking a break for a few years, they are back and are joined by Bobby Furbush who was one of the original members of Still in Style. Their repertoire has grown to include both the sounds of yesterday and the sounds of today.

A cover charge is not imposed and the restaurants has separate dining rooms for entertainment while eating or for more quiet, leisurely dining.

On Thanksgiving Day, Rini’s will serve a $29.95 turkey dinner in addition to its regular menu throughout the day.
