Safe Zone Established Around Tappan Zee Bridge Super Crane
Fines and criminal prosecution could be leveled against boaters who enter the zone without permission.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The Coast Guard has established a 200-yard safe zone around the massive Tappan Zee Bridge project’s crane.

The safe zone around the I Lift NY super crane is described as temporary but will be in place through 2018 when the bridge is supposed to be finished, according to an article at the Journal News.
Boaters could face fines and possibly criminal prosecution for violating the zone, the Journal News said.
