Seely Place Sidewalk Work to Start Monday
Some disruption to the afternoon pickup schedule is anticipated.
GREENBURGH, NY — On Monday, Oct. 24, the Town of Greenburgh Engineering/Public Works Department will begin the Seely Place sidewalk construction.
Supervisor Paul Feiner said in an email that “the first part of the work will be saw cutting of the street to facilitate the removal of some of the asphalt so excavation for the sidewalk and curb placement can proceed.”
He said the contractor has been advised to not begin any work until 8:45 a.m. to not conflict with morning drop-off at the Seely Place Elementary School.

From the email:
While the morning work is being delayed to after the usual morning drop-off period, some delay may still occur as the contractor is reviewing the work. We do expect some impacts to the afternoon traffic. We do ask all who travel Seely Place to anticipate delays both in the morning and afternoon and recommend you adjust your schedules accordingly.
It's our goal to make Greenburgh a more pedestrian friendly community. We hope that this new sidewalk will encourage more sidewalks to be built in town. If, during the construction period, there are any issues or concerns - please feel free to reach out to me. I always respond to calls and e mails almost immediately.
Thank you for your cooperation.
