Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to Speak at Greenburgh Veterans Day Ceremony

Sen. Gillibrand is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be the keynote speaker at Greenburgh’s annual Veterans Day ceremony at DeSanti Park, across from the Hartsdale train station, Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.

Sen. Gillibrand, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has been a vocal advocate for strengthening America’s armed services, national security and military readiness, according to Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.

The park is scheduled to be enhanced next year and turned into a Veterans Memorial Park, honoring the contributions of the town’s local heroes. The Town Board authorized the release of non- taxpayer dollars to create a Veterans Memorial park at this location earlier this year, accoring to Feiner. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
