Should poop be tested in county sewers to help avoid COVID spread

colleges and communities across the county are testing sewers Mask only requirement on county buses needs to be better enforced

Should poop be tested in county sewers to help avoid a 2nd wave of Covid--and are people wearing masks correctly on buses? Although COVID-19 numbers in Greenburgh and Westchester are very low - many of us are concerned about the possibility of a second wave. I have asked the county to consider sewer testing for COVID 19 as a means of determining the level of community spread. This could also help schools determine whether it is safe for schools to reopen. This initiative could also be considered state-wide or even nationally.
Some students and faculty who attend school may not have fever but carriers could be asymptomatic.

Sewer testing, on the other hand, does not rely on individual compliance, would account (on a collective level) for asymptomatic carriers, and could be a relatively inexpensive way to track the status of the virus in communities to help inform critical decisions about public safety during the pandemic.

BUSES--COMPLAINTS RESIDENTS NOT WEARING MASKS OR INCORRECTLY WEARING MASKS

Getting complaints from bus riders that people are not wearing masks (or wearing masks incorrectly) on the buses even though they are supposed to and there is a county requirement that people must wear masks while on buses. . Am reaching out to Liberty Bus Company and the county.

People are worried about the spread of COVID.

Can the buses play recorded messages and air them at each stop advising riders to wear masks or not to take the bus? The recorded message could remind people how they can wear masks correctly.

MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT PEOPLE GETTING CONFIDENT THAT COVID 19 IS BEHIND US

SUPERMARKETS - STORES - BIKE PATHS/TRAILS - SPORTS -

Getting a number of complaints from residents who advise that employees/residents are not wearing masks or social distancing when in close proximity to others. Remember, if we are not careful a second wave could happen this fall and we could all be locked in again. Better to be careful than sorry later on .
