Sleepy Hollow Declares A Snow Emergency

The village made a decision to declare the snow emergency in advance of the storm's arrival.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY: The Village of Sleepy Hollow has declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 1 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. It will be in effect until further notice.

Village officials said all alternate side of the street parking (which is the "snow emergency side") is in effect as of 1 a.m. Thursday.

Cars will be towed at owner's expense if not moved in time. Property owners must clear sidewalks within 24 hours after the snow fall.

Residents are reminded that when clearing or shoveling snow, it should not be thrown in the middle of the road.
