A stalemate for the first few minutes, in frigid and muddy conditions, broke when Kieran Degen scored on his own goal post rebound. Pierce Davis added another, on a run a off sideline assist from Ian Papadopoulos. Degen scored again on a breakaway to close the first half, on a dispossession from Justin Paute that Aiden Lee was able to push upfield. First half goalie Dylan Largo was pressured several times by the Riders quick forward line, and one Riders goal sailed past Largo's muddy dive, to finish out the half 3-1.

Early in the second half, Edwin Dutan outran a defender for a score. Fusion brought pressure with shots on goal by Julian Patino and Raul Socualaya, with Davis finally converting the score. A handball in the penalty area led to a penalty Dylan Largo launched into the top corner of the goal for the score. Fusion's final goal came thanks to a defensive takeaway along the sideline by Julian Patino, which turned into a quick score downfield by Jezrael Panama. Riders added goals late in the game, but the score at the final was 7-3.

Given the game's difficult conditions, Coach George Papadopoulos was pleased with the cohesiveness of his team's play throughout the season, and the depth of skill and commitment that the players brought to the field each week. Fusion will certainly be looking to up their game to meet with their certain reseeding to a tougher division in the Spring. Congratulations Fusion on an undefeated fall season!

2007 Girls Blaze

The Blaze concluded a very successful Fall Season by beating the New Rochelle Wildfire 3-0. Playing in the 1st Division, the Blaze have been consistently challenged, and the Wildfire continued the trend with a very consistent structured attack. A bit of fine goalkeeping and a touch of luck kept the Wildcats off the board early. The Blaze kept their poise and brought a steady attack, and came out the victor.

The Blaze finished the season in 2nd place with a record of 6-2-1. More importantly, they wrapped up the season with a great pizza party!

2005 Boys Legends

U12 B Legends responded positively to the “Pizza Incentive”, closing out the season with an impressive 3-1 home win over visiting Castleford. The boys used a new formation (proving that the coaches had used the wrong one previously !), passed and moved. Robert scored his debut goal, and laid on two assists for Kalle (also debuting in the scoring charts) and Nikhil. Pizza was enjoyed afterwards and the coaches are consulting with health and nutrition experts and AYSO National to see if inclusion of Pizza as a weekly event is now a recommended best practice.

2004 Boys Argentina

SHFC Argentina U14B completed a very successful Fall season with 7 wins, 1 tie, 1 loss.

They won promotion to 2nd or 3rd division in WYSL despite most of the team being U13s. The team has been on an incredible run winning the WYSL Futsal Winter 2017 title, WYSL Spring 2017 division title and placing 2nd in Fall 2017.

Argentina has won a remarkable 28 matches out of their last 30 with only one defeat. Lead by a core of dedicated players, attendance is extremely high for training which translates to success on match day. The team plays with positional possession and control matches with passing, averaging over 300 passes per match the last two seasons. SHFC Argentina plays a 3-5-2 Formation to maximize control of the match.

The team is formed by a very strong backline of Braulin Peña, Dan Tantsyura, Eric Mogrovejo, Peter Mardjonovic. Gabriel Lewis become our goalkeeper and kept a perfect record of 6 wins in the last 6 matches.

The Strikers are Alex Guaman and Danny Dorman who lead by example in goal-scoring duties, passing and unselfish play. The Wingers unit play an important part in the team and are comprised of the very versatile Alex Searle, outstanding dribbler and passer Oliver Tecuapetla and Dylan Arevalo. Lead by newcomer and dominant playmaker Shubhro Biswas who was tasked with controlling the midfield in the #10 role, he led the team in completed passes, assists and won balls.

The remaining players in the squad rotated in defensive midfield roles: quality play from Lucas, Luca, David, Sebastian.

Special thanks to the players who helped out with the older JV team and played important part: Gabriel, Alex, Peter, Oliver, Braulin, Shubhro.

Head coaches are Scott and Luis. Captains are Peter Mardjonovic and Shubhro Biswas.

2002 Girls Mustangs

Finished their fall campaign with a solid 3-1 win over the Bronx Shooting Stars in cold windy conditions. Britany Alban scored first from close range after intercepting a poorly cleared ball. Lily Rodriguez scored next off a perfectly placed thru ball from Sophia Khosrowshahi in the play of the day. Maya Weitzen put the game away with a chip shot over the out of position Bronx keeper. The Mustangs finished in second place in the top division. They were 6-3-0 with 26 goals scored and only 12 allowed. Most clubs are unable to field a JV squad in the fall because of rigorous school sports and academic requirements, but the Mustangs managed well. They now enter a thanksgiving weekend indoor tournament Saturday and look forward to starting the winter indoor season.

2002 Boys Los Gauchos

Los Gauchos completed a very difficult season winning two of the last three matches. Losing 7 players from the Spring season, suffering 3 to injuries early in the season and missing most of their players due to High School Soccer conflicts the team finished the season 3-6. The team borrowed heavily from the younger U13/14 squad to have enough players on game day.

Players of note are Mateo Lewis and Paul Julian who lead the team in completed passes and won contested balls. Forming an excellent midfield duo. New player Jure Maglic provided quality play throughout. Goalkeeping was done by the excellent Rene Quinde. Central defenders David Amai and Kevin Peña provided a strong backbone. Jack Taylor was asked to play multiple positions and had a strong season. Ethan, Larson, Jhonatan, Franklin, Billy, Aaron, Ryan and Wesley make up the rest of the Squad.

With all players returning for the Spring Season Los Gauchos will look to secure a division title.

They will work to retain their Winter Futsal title beginning in December.

Head coaches are Bill Julian and Luis Lewis. Team Captain Mateo Lewis.
