See Video Link Below of 2002 Boys Los Gauchos putting on a passing clinic

After a dominating opening weekend our local soccer club had a modestly successful week two with 8 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties. This Friday all youth soccer players have been invited to participate in the High School Football half time festivities at 8:30 pm. Below are the recaps of last week's games provided by our all volunteer coaches.
2008 Girls Red Comets
Lost a nail biter to the Red Storm away in Mt. Kisco 5-4. The Red Comets played aggressive and controlled the game in the first half leading the first half 3-2, a score that was only close because of the outstanding play of the opposing goalie who made numerous saves. In the second half, the tide turned with the Mt Kisco team dominant. Behind by a goal late, the Red Comets threatened but could not deliver another goal to tie the game.

2007 Boys Dutchmen
Defeated the Mamaroneck Yellow Gunners at Harbor Island on Sunday. The hard fought game was knotted 0-0 until the very last second of the game when Conor Slattery shook off a defender and arced a perfect shot over the outstretched hands of the Mamaroneck goalie. Jasper Quattrone made a courageous save of a penalty shot in the first half that preserved the shut out. It was a great team effort with all players contributing significantly to a win against a tough Mamaroneck team.
2007 Boys Dynamo
Faced a solid Rivertowns Wolves team from Ardsley this past Sunday. Despite an evenly played match throughout, the Wolves were able to lift two well-struck shots from distance up and over the Dynamo defense. Raul Socualaya netted his first goal for the Dynamo, assisted by Jack McCarthy. Carlos Almonte at center fullback and Pierce Davis and Erick Guzhnay sharing the role of goalie, all played great defensive games. This Sunday the Dynamo host White Plains 2007 White at Losee Park at 2:30PM.
2007 Girls Blaze
Continued their winning ways Saturday at Losee Park. The girls were excited to play their first home game and started with a bang. Julissa, Juliana, Gemma and Gaby all scored goals for the Blaze, while Kayla, Elle and Emily with their great defensive skills held the visiting Osprey from even taking a shot on goal. The girls left the field with a 4-0 win and are hoping to continue their early success.
2006 Girls Storm
Travelled to Randall’s Island and defeated the Manhattan Comets 5-0 to improve to 1-0-1 for the Fall season. Anastasia Mazon was nervous before the game – the first that she was going to start in goal. The night prior she dragged her family to the park for some goalie practice. The work paid off as strong defense and solid goal keeping led the shutout. The Storm dominated possession from the start and had several shots on goal, but were unable to break through the Comet defense until Samantha Fajardo scored thirty seconds after entering the game at the ten minute mark. The goals still did not come easily and many solid shots were blocked. At twenty minutes Emily Orellana took a hard shot that deflected off a Comet defender and into the net. A relieved Mazon was then substituted out of goalie and found herself in perfect position for a selfless pass by Emily Clayton to put the Storm up 3-0 at halftime. During the break the Storm talked about the 2-0 halftime lead that they gave up the week prior and the need to come out energetically for the 2nd Half. The Storm responded with two goals in the first two minutes by Talia Lieberman and Orellana. With a 5-0 lead Coach Richardson asked the team to pull back and work on possession skills. The Storm play the first place Quickstrike Patriots from Yonkers on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Hackley School.
2006 Boys Warriors
Visited the Mamaroneck Blue Jaguars and lost a hard-fought game by a score of 4-3. The Warriors grabbed an early 1-0 lead five minutes into the game, but the Blue Jaguars responded with two goals to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Blue Jaguars scored again to open up a two-goal lead, but the Warriors rallied to cut the deficit to one. The teams traded goals a second time, setting up a tight battle in the closing minutes. Despite several close chances, the Warriors just couldn't manage to put in the equalizer. The Warriors hit the road again next week to take on the Port Chester Mustangs.
2006 Boys Firebolts
Coached by Ricardo Gonzalez played against Yonkers United Rush at Hackley Field. After a well played even first half 0-0 tie. Firebolts came on strong in the second half scoring 5 goals ( Dylan Patch, Julian Guzman, Aarav Kumar, Nico Wang and Tiernan Fahy) Two assists by Ollie Gonzalez. Julian Guzman, Aarav Kumar, Elias Ebouzir, Austin Lee as goalies helped with the shout out. Final score 5-0. Next game at Hackley Field vs New Rochelle Pumas.
2005 Boys Legends
Saw their long unbeaten streak come to an end with a 1-0 loss to Pelham Pumas. The Legends edged possession, and shots but the Pelham defense stood firm until the end. This weeks' practices will feature some highly effective shooting drills, and potentially a Guardiola inspired, never before seen, tactical formation.
2005 Girls Cyclones
Coached by Mike Levine, Nick Tsilibes and Tracey Koch improved to 2-0 with a 5-0 victory against the Yorktown Red Stars. The team defense of Ywomie Mota, Lauren Koch, Caitlyn O'Hanlan, Christine Kern, and Natalie Rypka was again terrific, ensuring minimal shots on goal. The goals were scored by Thalia Tsilibes, Isabelle Murphy (2), Emma Behrens and Diana Cordero. The team next plays on September 25th, away against the West Side Red Bull's.
2004 Boys Argentina
Put together a tremendous team effort and passing display and ended a 3-3 draw against a much bigger and stronger Mount Pleasant team. Argentina had over 20 shot on goals. Argentina dominated possession throughout. The team has shown tremendous improvement from the start of the season and they are looking forward to building momentum next week against 1st place Rye Brook. Quality goal-keeping from Kyle Eddington and Sebastian Lund kept the game even. Peter Mardjonovic, Lucas Signes and Kenny Eddington held on tough throughout the match. Goals from Dan Tantsyura, Randall Nugra and Oliver Tecuapetla. With excellent midfield support from Justin, Gabriel, Lorcan and Vin.
2004 Boys River Titans
Coached by Scott Burnett , Pepe Monteforte and Dan Black , played home to an intensely competitive 4-4 tie. Although the River Titans controlled and dominated the field throughout the game, a commendable Mamaroneck team never gave up. The action started with a great kick to goal by Jullian Bermeo which bounced off the Mamaroneck goalie to a well positioned Zachary Burnett who hit the ball in the air to the back of the net! Carlo Ricchiuti scored the second Titan goal from a free kick that to most would seem to be an impossible shot! The third Titan goal was a amazing textbook corner kick from Oliver Monteforte, who followed his own shot, running to the goal- and scoring off the rebound!! Oliver wasn't finished or satisfied just yet ... the fourth goal, was a beautiful assist by Oli to Zach Burnett !! A well deserved and honorable mention to Henry Lazo and Carlo Ricchiuti for playing remarkable defense. Finishing as the Titans Players of the Day ( the player that the coaches recognize for outstanding play )... Andres Illescas !!! GO TITANS !!!
2004 Girls Hurricane
Lost 1-4 to Yorktown. They return home Sunday to face Yonkers.
2003 Girls Strikers
Lost their game to a talented North Salem team 4-0. The Strikers are looking to recover this weekend with their first away game at John Jay. Both teams have 3 points in division play.
2002 Girls Mustangs
Were upset by undefeated Riverdale 1-2 at 9am in the Bronx. The late rising Mustang teenagers scored off a beautiful combination from Maddy Navin to Britany Alban to Lily Rodriguez to take the early lead. The girls had several more scoring chances that were not realized and took several years off their coaches' already short life expectancies. Riverdale scored off of two defensive lapses, one on a corner kick and another on a break away. The Mustangs realize they gave away a game and need to win out to keep championship hopes alive.
2002 Boys Los Gauchos
Opened the season with a dominant performance against Edgemont u15 boys. Final score was 6-2. Four players were out with injuries and most players played the entire match. Truly a team effort and Los Gauchos completed over 450 passes. Goals from Jack Taylor, Mateo Lewis & Franklin Pena. Outstanding performances from Dylan Smith, Rene Quinde and Paul Julian earning Men of the Match honors for their complete effort. Los Gauchos Captains are Franklin Pena and Mateo Lewis. A tight-knit group: players which were injured (Billy and Russell) attended the match and rooted on their teammates.

2001 Boys Tornados
Dominated possession again this week and combined for a total of 266 passes. DJ Cronin broke the scoring open at the 23 minute mark of the 1st half after a couple of Messi-like maneuvers in the box, he simply tapped the ball into the right bottom corner. Wes Maseko put another into the back of the net on a breakaway when he split the middle backs right down the center of the field. At the 14 minute mark of the second half Ethan Fox passed the ball back to Nolan Fairley who dropped the base from 30 yards out right over the head of the Rye City keeper. Rye City kept it close four minutes later after a breakaway shot just eluded a diving AJ Casiano. Five minutes later Michael Sasaguay scored his first goal as a Tornado on another breakaway after a nice through ball from Wes Maseko. The Tornadoes will be looking for an all out blitz against their nemesis, The Rye Brook Blitz at 10:00 AM at WI on Sunday September 25th.
