Sleepy Hollow Police Charge Tarrytown Man with DWI

With his license suspended just a few days prior, a Tarrytown man was charged with DWI and other offenses after police pulled him over on Van Ripper Avenue.

Police made a traffic stop on Dec. 22 at 5:40 a.m. and found the man, 33, to have a suspended license for failure to answer a village summons on Dec. 20.

The car was impounded and the defendant was taken to headquarters where he was charged with:

  • driving while intoxicated,
  • driving with a suspended license,
  • obstructing governmental administration,
  • and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The DA's office recommended bail set at $25,000 cash. Camp had no further updates.
