Sleepy Hollow Resident Promoted By NY Army National Guard

Emmanuel Alcantara Rodriguez of Sleepy Hollow was promoted to the rank of specialist.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — A Hudson Valley resident who is in the New York Army National Guard received a promotion recently.

Emmanuel Alcantara Rodriguez of Sleepy Hollow, who is assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry, was promoted to the rank of specialist Feb. 16.

Major General Ray Shields, the adjutant general for the state, announced the promotion which was made in recognition of his capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.
