Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner held a swearing-in ceremony for civic activists.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — Almost 1,000 people showed up for a rally in Sleepy Hollow Sunday to protest President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
Supervisor Paul Feiner, who provided the crowd estimate, said he was amazed at how many people were coming involved in policy issues.
“President Trump will go down in history as the president who got people involved,” Feiner said. “People are now aware of the fact that there are ramifications to being apathetic.”

At the rally, he asked people to raise their hands and take an oath as a civic activist.
The oath Feiner provided as a sample reads: “I swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States, State of New York and pledge to speak out on issues of importance to me at the local, county, state and national levels. I will not be intimidated and will speak my mind as a civic activist. I will attend meetings of appropriate legislative bodies and will not be silenced.”
