Sleepy Hollow To Weigh Banning Smoking In Parks, Playgrounds

Complaints about hookahs spurred the discussion.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — The Village of Sleepy Hollow will hold a public hearing about whether to ban smoking in parks and playgrounds. The problem stems from the use of hookahs — or tall water pipes — that are being used at Reverend Sykes Park.

The public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, the Journal News said.

All smoking would be banned, not just the use of hookahs.
