Spring Crafts At Lyndhurst Will Be Better Than Ever This Year
Spring is in the air, and crafts are plentiful this weekend at Lyndhurst.
For many people not fortunate enough to live here, the Lyndhurst Craft Fair is synonymous with Tarrytown. Once again, people will come from all over this weekend, both to sell and to buy the unique wares that will fill the historic property.
Spring Crafts At Lyndhurst has long been a Mecca for shoppers who enjoy purchasing the unique one-of-a-kind items offered. There's also the opportunity to connect with the vendors, who encourage questions from the guests.
Over 300 contemporary artists from around the country will congregate to offer the best in limited edition sculpture, jewelry, household decoration, fashion, wood, ceramics and photography. The artwork and crafts are ever changing, and there are lots of new items for sale from these innovated craftspeople. Collectors, art enthusiasts, and browsers are all welcome.

This is the 26th year of this prestigious fundraiser for the National Trust For Historic Preservation, and there is every indication that the event will be even bigger and better this year. There's going to be an expanded specialty food section. For those who like to snack as they walk around the grounds of the 67 acre Lyndhurst estate, this is especially good news. For all of us who need a place to stop and rest occasionally, we will certainly congregate around the varied selection of food and drink available.
One of the most engaging aspects of the Fair is to provide ideas and inspiration. In addition, there's fun for the whole family, including children's events and live music throughout the weekend.

There will be lots of artists new to the scene this year, but one local favorite is sure to make another successful showing. Sleepy Hollow resident Angelica Cammarota is renowned for her outstanding metal jewelry. Each piece is painstakingly handmade and exquisite, and Cammarota is developing a nationwide reputation with discerning shoppers.
"It's nice having Lyndhurst so close. Not only do I not have to travel so far, but it's also great to represent our town," she said. "People seem to respond to the fact that I'm local, and that they can keep in contact with me. Last fall was my first time participating at Lyndhurst. I've established great clients from that event, and I look forward to doing the same this coming weekend.
"I am a goldsmith, and I specialize in making one-of-a-kind pieces. My work is very diverse, because I am interested in all aspects of jewelry making, whether I'm melting down and alloying my gold, or carving little sculptures out of wax. I am always studying new techniques, so my work is constantly changing."
Be sure to stop by Cammarota's exhibit, and tell her how much we appreciate having our hometown girl do us proud at Lyndhurst.
