State Police To Crack Down On Thruway Work Zone Violations
"Operation Work Brake" will concentrate on speeding motorists and aggressive driving in and around construction zones on the Thruway.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — State Police from Troop T will be boosting patrols along the Thruway beginning Monday, April 23 during “Operation Work Brake.” The campaign cracks down on speeding motorists and aggressive driving before, in and around construction zones.
The five-day enforcement period will continue through Friday, April 27.
State Police said road crews face constant dangers everyday in work zones. Motorists who speed, drive distracted or are simply careless when traveling through a work zone pose a great safety risk to highway workers and other drivers.
