Famous psychic and best-selling author, Sylvia Browne passed away November 21 at age 77. She was scheduled to appear at Tarrytown Music Hall on January 15 but the show has been cancelled due to her death. Ticket holders may contact the venue to receive a refund. Her September 18 show was postponed due to Browne's illness and as a result she was forced to cancel her entire fall tour.
Sylvia has made several appearances on prime-time daytime talk shows and as a regular psychic on The Montel Williams Show for 17 years; which suspended operations in 2008.
I interviewed her back in August about her psychic abilities and she described what audiences will expect from her presentation. She said that her ‘spirit guide’ Francine does not often aid her when she appears live or reads a person.

“It comes from God, she doesn’t do anything like that,” Browne explained in a phone interview from California. “She just gives out philosophy for the church. I don’t know where my insight comes from I’ve been tested by doctors and they don’t know; they just suggest that I have a normal ability.”
Sylvia discovered her psychic ability at a very young age growing up in Kansas City, Missouri.

“It was scary at first but I come from 300 years of psychics; thank God my grandmother was alive that’s why I figured there’s kinetic component parts to it.”
As a best-selling author, Browne has 68 books out and only 37 made it on the best-seller list.
“It’s all about love and there’s no hell and no devil I don’t want people to be scared into loving God I want them to love God,” she said.
Sylvia was known to tune into a person’s vibes and situation, no matter what the outcome is. She told me during the interview that she's only been off the mark twice.
“I will read about 200-300 people and there will be a lecture and meditation session, I’ve only missed twice in 55 years,” she noted. “I consider myself a medium the spirit I read doesn’t give you long descriptions they just give you something valid like if you were wearing your mother’s ring.”
She was an avid fan of John Edwards.
“I love John Edwards,” she admitted.
Sylvia talked about some upcoming projects, including a new book in the works. At this point, no one really knows what will become of her new book that she was writing.
