Tarrytown 1st Responders Thanked For Their Service

Southern Westchester BOCES students and mentors from Volunteer New York! worked together on the project.

TARRYTOWN, NY — Southern Westchester BOCES students and Volunteer New York! mentors invited Tarrytown first responders to Tappan Hill School recently to thank them for their service. The students and mentors spent six weeks working together to decorate bags and fill them with candy for the first responders.

The police officers and firefighters received assorted candies in gift bags that included a note that said, “Thank you for: Being a Lifesaver! Your commitMINT to keeping our community safe! Being JOLLY and keeping a smile as you do your job! Handling all those STICKY situations!”
