Tarrytown Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Announced

The Tarrytown Department of Public Works will begin collecting Christmas trees on Jan. 8, officials announced.

Trees will be collected for recycling on the second garbage collection day of the week, either on Thursdays or Fridays. Collections will continue until Friday, Jan. 30.

“Christmas Trees must be placed curbside for collection,” DPW officials wrote in an email to residents Tuesday. “Trees placed curbside in plastic bags, with tree stands, or with ornaments or lights will not be collected.”
