Curriculum alignment, staffing and professional development will be expanded across all areas, and the district will maintain its planned expansion of the Foreign Language in the Elementary School program into fourth grade.

In addition to the budget, voters will be asked to approve a bus proposition in the amount not to exceed $182,500 for one 70-passenger school bus and one 20-passenger van. The money, if approved, will be taken from the 2018-19 unassigned fund balance and will have no financial impact on the 2019-20 budget, officials said.

There are also two open seats on the board to be filled by the voters. The candidates are Kevin Miller, Charles Zekus, Ann Neilsen and incumbent Jennifer Liddy Green.

Tarrytown residents will vote at Washington Irving Intermediate School; Sleepy Hollow residents, at Winfield L. Morse School. The hours for both locations are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
