TARRYTOWN, NY — State police from Troop K said they removed 31 impaired drivers from public roads over the April 20 weekend. One of the accused is a Tarrytown resident. On April 22, State Police Haverstraw charged Hernan Torres, 36 of Tarrytown, with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was traveling on Interstate 87 in Clarkstown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.

Saturday, May 16th, the Town of Greenburgh will hold its 3rd annual Artists and Crafters Market at Presser Park (former Webb Field), 218 S. Central Avenue, Hartsdale. This free, family-friendly event is dedicated to introducing and promoting local artisans and fostering a deeper appreciation for the creative process within our community. More than 30 artists and crafters of all ages and in all media will showcase and sell their creative expressions. Each exhibitor also will offer a free, hands-on lesson, presentation, creative experience or something interesting and dynamic for marketgoers of all ages. The Artists and Crafters Market will take place from 11 am until 4 pm - with a rain-date of Sunday, May 17th. Free parking is available nearby.

Be sure to stop by the great restaurants and outdoor cafes with many offering fair specials. Nyack’s unique shops and boutiques are a must see.
