
TARRYTOWN, NY — Voters in the Tarrytowns school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to pass the budget for the 2018-19 school year. The $77.9 million spending package was approved 408 to 132, according to unofficial results.
The budget was 2.98 percent above the current year. The tax levy increase is 1 percent.
A second proposition asked voters to OK the use of $2 million in capital reserve funds for capital improvements. It was approved.

A third proposition asked for authorization to bond $6 million in capital improvements. It was approved.
The last proposition asked for the OK to purchase four 70-passenger school buses and one 20-passenger van, which would be paid for through unassigned fund balance with no affect on the 2018-19 budget. It was approved.
