Since 1967, Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps has provided emergency medical service to the community without using any tax dollars, organizers said.
“We are an independent, state certified ambulance service managed by local volunteers for almost 50 years,” Schwartz said. “Last year, our EMT’s and crews responded to over 1,000 emergency calls and we are on track to exceed that number in 2016.”
Ambulance corps officials said volunteers are always welcome. TVAC does the training and provides the courses and uniforms. For more information, call 914-631-6469 or visit www.tarrytownvac.org.
