Tarrytown Water Tank Repairs Will Cause Low Pressure

People are being urged to avoid using large amounts of water during peak periods of the day.

TARRYTOWN, NY — Residents and business owners in Tarrytown should be aware that one of Tarrytown’s water storage tanks will be removed from service for scheduled repairs beginning on or around Feb. 26. It will be out of service until the work is completed.

Officials said that during this time period, there will be no interruption of water service but low water pressure may be experienced.

The village is asking everyone for cooperation to conserve as much water as possible during the peak usage periods of 5 a.m to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

People should refrain from using washing machines, taking baths or long showers, washing cars or any activity that uses a large amount of water.

Large water consumers are also urged to implement procedures to reduce their water consumption during the peak periods.
