Tarrytown Woman More Than 2 Times Legal Alcohol Limit: Police
Police said she ran off the roadway and hit a guide rail.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A driver who hit a guide rail was arrested Tuesday for driving drunk.
State Police said Pamela M. Stewart, 44, of Tarrytown, was driving a Honda Accord on I-287 near Exit 5 when she ran off the roadway and struck the guide rail.
She was found to be intoxicated, police said, and was taken into custody and was transported to the Tarrytown barracks.

Her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22 percent — more than two times the legal limit.
Stewart was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

She was turned over to a sober third party and released to return to the Town of Greenburgh Court Jan. 27.
